Copy report

Copies the report text so you can paste it into your own email or message.

Example. Maya uses web mail in her browser, so she copies the report and pastes it into a new message to support instead of waiting for an email program to open.

Step-by-step in the guide

Show details

Shows the saved crash record on this computer so you can see what it holds.

Example. Before sending anything, Maya opens the details to see for herself that the record holds no client names or amounts.

Step-by-step in the guide

Dismiss

Closes this notice. The crash record is kept on this computer.

Example. TimeTracker closed once while Maya's laptop was running low on battery, and everything is fine now, so she dismisses the notice and carries on.

TimeTracker closed unexpectedly last time

TimeTracker closed unexpectedly last time. A record of what happened was saved on this computer; nothing is sent unless you send it.

Example. TimeTracker closed while Maya was making an invoice. The next morning this notice greets her, and her running timer is still there.

Step-by-step in the guide

Send to support

Writes a report file and opens an email draft to support. Attach the file yourself, review the draft and send it; nothing is sent automatically.

Example. Maya wants support to look at a crash, so she presses Send to support, attaches the file it wrote to the email draft, and adds a line saying she was issuing an invoice at the time.

Step-by-step in the guide

Trial badge

How many trial days are left, or that the trial has ended. Click it to open Settings and load your licence.

Example. The badge tells Maya she has 3 days of use left, so she buys a licence. When the email arrives, she clicks the badge to go straight to the place where she loads it.

Step-by-step in the guide

Version

The version of TimeTracker you are running.

Example. When Maya writes to support, she includes the version shown here so they know which TimeTracker she is running.

Support message

What happened after you pressed Send to support or Copy report: the address to write to and, for Send to support, the report file to attach. It stays here until you close it or leave this page.

Example. After sending to support, Maya reads the message to see where the report file is so she can attach it.

Step-by-step in the guide

Close

Closes this message. The report file is not deleted.

Example. Maya has attached the file and sent her email, so she closes the message. The file is still in her data folder.
